The U.S. team members earned the right to represent the USA at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup after winning the 2017 USA Basketball 3x3 National Tournament that was played April 8-9 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In its first game against Netherlands on June 17, the USA suffered a 19-12 loss.
